I ordered the catfish plate with macaroni and green beans and it was so good! The catfish was perfectly cooked, and the mac and green beans were full of flavor. Great comfort food and when in town I’ll definitely be coming back for more.
I don't know what all the hype is about. This place is a poor excuse for a restaurant. Locals obviously don't get out much because after two visits, I found the food to be consistently poor. The grease was burned. The staff was irritable. The dining room dirty. People came in, ate their food, and left quickly. Leaving was the best part
I ordered the fried chicken and and two boxes of fries. The fries were bland so make sure to bring some salt and pepper, but the chicken was amazing it wasn't too greasy and it had a great taste it was like chicken express chicken except it was not as greasy so your stomach would remain intact
The restaurant is a converted bank building. It still has the bank decor with stone structures, polished floors, wood beams and lighting. Not many places to sit if dining in on busy day. There is a drive thru for convenience and you can order over the phone and pick up. Inside, there is a room (former conference room) that has a TV that can seat for a group party. The fish very large filets are delicious. The fish has a lot of meat and less breading. The chicken tenders are delicious. The dark meat, thighs are small, greasy and it was the worst part of the meal. The sides are very good. The onion rings are just okay, nothing special. *I recommend the fish and tenders. Not recommending the chicken thighs. We will return.
Pleasantly pleased. 😁👍 I don't eat fried chicken often but decided to try it along with some sides. Got the mixed dark meat combination and some chicken tenders. It was delicious. Very reasonably priced. Cheaper and better than KFC and Churches. It's not greasy or drenched in oil at all. It was moist. Skin batter not thick. I love how they have a variety of other items such as shrimp, egg rolls, catfish and good variety of sides and items for kids. Catfish fillets are nice, large pieces. Our new go to for fried chicken and catfish. Our second time to order from them. We place an order online and pick up. Everything was made on time and correct each time. Nice to have good customer service. Staff is friendly.
I've never been inside the building so I can't address any of that but I can tell you that the food is really really good. Hot, fresh fried chicken with a yummy breading. Cooked just right. They serve real vegetables with their dinners (Im talking green beans and mashed potatoes with brown or white gravy) And a jalapeno comes with the meal. The have a large variety of food and veggies and the drive thru goes very fast. Always a line in the drive thru but as I said it moves fast. I usually stop by once or twice a week for a quick dinner. One of my favorites and so glad they're closer to home.
We placed an online order for three family meals consisting of chicken, rolls, and sides—totaling 72 pieces of chicken, 30 rolls, and 6 sides with gravy. We also ordered an additional side of white gravy. In the attached photos: - The largest standing container is the extra gravy we purchased. - The medium containers are mashed potatoes. - The small containers are the brown gravy included with the family meals. The order lists the sides as large, but for a family pack, the sides should be family-sized. There was no option online to increase the size of the sides, and for the price we paid, the portions were far too small. In fact, the gravy containers were so small they seemed more like individual servings. Additionally, we scheduled pickup between 11:40 AM – 11:45 AM, but received a text at 11:11 AM that the food was ready. This means the order sat for about 30 minutes before we could pick it up. While the food itself was good, the portion sizes and overall value did not justify the cost.
Pros and cons, Pro: it took five minutes for my order to be filled, and I was out the door with the correct order. Pro: chicken is good and thoroughly cooked and I got the 10 piece leg & thigh and will make four meals out of for a little over $13 Pro: atmosphere is nice. It’s a newly remodeled building with very high ceiling. CON: septic system, south of parking lot and the wind is blowing out of the south 😳, so Barrier wall is much needed! Con: men’s bathroom wallpaper is peeling, trash on floor and rust is on the plumbing and paper towel dispenser broken, as you had to dry your hands off of the free standing paper roll on the sink counter at 5:30pm, so not much updating was done in my opinion because the restaurants only been open for a couple months now, so trying to save a few bucks which is understandable but hope they address those issues eventually but overall a nice bathroom. *I will be back and invite anyone who wants some decent fried chicken to stop in and see for yourself if you like it or not. I hope this helps as the restaurant is going through some growing pains because it just opened, so keep that in mind and the fact there isn’t another fried chicken place close heading north but 3 to 4 miles south is KFC, which bring your wallet because you’ll need it, it’s too expensive for me and my budget, but good chicken though. Blessings.🇺🇸
